Subterranean is our new favourite word. Reef Group are an exciting developer operating out of the heart of London with projects throughout the Capital and beyond. Cavendish Square is a prestigious location in the heart of Marleybone, just a stone’s throw from Oxford Road station. Above ground the pedestrianized areas will be regenerated, and below the ground, what is currently a carpark will become a 4 storey subterranean retail and leisure destination of the highest calibre.
Reef Group approached us in early 2019 to help them visualise their ambitious plans to redevelop an underground carpark into a retail and leisure destination in the heart of Marylebone.
We were brought in to help develop the design through iteratively producing imagery for the various elements of the scheme.
We were also tasked with showing the public and planning authorities how the scheme would function and fit within the surrounding context.
Finally our task was to help generate interest from potential occupiers by collaboratively coming up with interesting ways to showcase this innovative development.
We worked with Reef to develop their design proposals over the course of the year, producing many still CGIs for the various entrances and underground spaces.
We then used Unreal Engine to create an animation which took things to the next level, giving a dynamic way to showcase the scheme’s selling points and iconic design.
Finally we created a responsive website to house all of the visuals.
Reef have been provided with some of our best images to date, which have both helped develop the design, and made up a key part of their planning and marketing efforts. So far our images have featured in over 15 national publications.
The website and animation continue to be key in the ongoing discussions with occupiers and in communicating the plans to the public.
